Wildflower Brunch

Hey guys--

These pictures are from a recent family trip to Indiana. We passed by this gorgeous field of wildflowers and I just had to stop and get a few pictures. Looking out from one edge of the field, there was yellow as far as the eye could see. It was incredible!

(As pretty as the scenery is, I get a giggle out of these pictures because they'e comically reminiscent of The Sound of Music.. definitely no intentions there. Maybe you'll disagree, hopefully you will ha.)

The trip was wonderful, lots of family bonding time. On our way to a winery, we ended up getting lost so we stopped in a small little town to try and reroute our path. It was so fun to look through all of the antique shops. I was hoping to find a treasure for my new room but I decided to wait. However, I did find the most adorable pair of cotton candy earrings. They look so cute dangling from my ears and they even feel like cotton candy. I can't wait to show them off on the blog!

I was going to say happy Friday, but I guess it's Saturday now.

Book Clubs And Garden Parties

Hey friends--

I've had quite a busy week and this week might be even busier! However, I'm not of out of energy yet. Right now, I'm on a cleaning/organizing spree. My room might thank me. I haven't lived at home in two years. It's strange coming back and making room for new things. My home is always so peaceful. I'm happy to be away from the big city for a few months. Although, I will deeply miss the window shopping and city strolls that I've become so accustomed to.

I just moved out of my apartment and I'm so thankful that I have the family that I do. My parents helped me so much and they always go above and beyond for me. I didn't realize that I had so many things! It took a lot longer than expected to load everything up. I am so blessed to have all of things that I do. I pray that thankfulness and gratitude will be in my heart everyday. I'm very thankful for all of my blessings that I'm counting tonight!

The Sweeter The Buttercream

Hey everyone--

The weather has finally warmed up. Yay, spring has sprung! I hope your April is off to a beautiful start. 

This Saturday was my cousin's bridal shower. It was a great weekend, filled with family and celebration. I'm getting so excited for the wedding.. only a few more weeks! Gah, I love weddings!

I'm very fortunate to have today off. I'm ready for my nap.

& I have some good news. Last week the blog reached 500 followers! Thank you guys so much!

Hot Air Balloons

Hey everyone--

As you can see, winter has not given into spring yet. I'm back to living in a winter wonderland, at least for a couple more days. I'm trying to make the best of it, despite my deep desire for sundress weather. No amount of snow is going to keep me from my pastels.. especially not on Easter week.

I am officially on spring break! Can I get an amen? I am so excited to sleep in, visit with old friends and take some bike rides in my home town. & the weather has been glorious! I don't want the warmth to ever fade.

Cupcake Connoisseur

Hey guys--

I hope you all had a lovely Valentine's Day weekend. My Valentine took me to a beautiful indoor garden conservatory and a local art museum. We also had a very fun skiing date! I'm not at all wanting to go back to school+work this week! However, I'm excited to go skiing in New York this weekend! I'm possibly even more excited to cozy up and relax in the lodge.
