Southwestern Story

Hey guys--
I always get excited when summer transitions into fall. I hate to see summer go, but I love layering and I love boots! My most recent post from Deb Shops incorporates both of these. To get the perfect back to school look, layer a crochet vest over a tribal print dress. Then accessorize with a braided belt and a pair of darling fringe booties!

Happy Saturday friends!

Do The Twist (Cone)

Hey everyone--
The ice-cream cone print on this dress makes me so happy. How can you not smile at a twist cone?

I can't write much because I am busy packing! I'm headed to the beach bright and early in the morning. I hope you all enjoy the rest of your weekend! Follow me on instagram to stay up on my travels.

Happy Saturday friends!

August's Treat: Banana Split Kabobs

These banana split kabobs are the perfect summer treat! They're mostly fruit so they're a healthy alternative to a banana split. Once these are made, pop them in the freezer for awhile and then take them out to enjoy and stay cool!

Ingredients: 2-3 bananas, strawberries, pineapple chunks, whipped cream, rainbow sprinkles, peanut topping, whipped cream, cherry topping, semi-sweet chocolate morsels, kabob skewers

Instructions:

1. Slice pineapple chunks, bananas and strawberries.

2. Slide fruit slices onto kabob skewers. I found that it worked the best for me to put the pineapple at the bottom, the strawberry in the middle and the banana on top.

3. Melt the semi-sweet chocolate morsels.

4. Dip one side of each kabob into the chocolate. I used a spoon the guide the chocolate.

5. While the chocolate is still warm, sprinkle on peanut topping or rainbow sprinkles.

6. Drain the cherry topping, so that all of the juice is gone and just the cherries are left.

7. Add a cherry to the top of each kabob.

8. Then, add a dash of whipped cream to each kabob. Only add the whipped cream when you are ready to eat the kabobs because the cream tends to melt.

9. And.. you're done! You can put the kabobs in the freezer. They taste so good cold!

Get The Look: Pinch Of Pink

Pinch Of Pink

Hey everyone--
I hope your August is off to a great start! I have a busy busy week planned ahead of me. I take off for camping tomorrow, after I move some furniture into my new house. Then I leave for the beach this weekend! I'm beyond excited for some relaxation time.

I honestly haven't been camping in years. I can already taste those toasted marshmallows. I can't wait to sit by the fire and shut the world out. I'm also looking forward to the hikes and scenic runs.. gotta get all the pre-beach workouts in that I can!

Follow me on instagram for updates of my travels. I won't be posting while I'm one with nature, but I will be sharing on my beach vacation!

Happy Sunday!
